Zoe England’s impressive start to the season continued at the opening Primary League meeting.  Zoe broke the Track and the Club Records for the U9 Girls 75m with a time of 11.4 secs.

Some very quick times for the London Marathon from the Wigan Harriers Endurance group. They are probably moving a little slower today though.

The Endurance Group have a large contingent at the London Marathon this weekend.  With Dave Waddington, Jaqui Jones, Julie Platt, Barry Abram, Kevin Edwards, Tracey Dutton, Darren Jackson and Stuart Holding all taking part. Good luck to all.

Obviously quite a few entering this competition. A round of the highlights shortly but in the meantime the results of Sundays meeting can be found here

Nathan Dunn represented Wigan Harrier at this challenging and very scenic race coming 13th in the U14′s race in 20:03

Dave Collins ran a respectable 38.48 to finish 7th overall and 1st Vet 50 with Andy Eccles splitting a clutch of Astley & Tyldesley runners to finish in 39.05 and 10th position overall.

There were 5 Wigan Harriers competing at this early season meeting, with Zoe, Tyler, Liane, Maise and Nathan representing the club.

There were a 1st places for Zoe England in the U9 75m and 150m. Tyler Hill came 8th in the U11 75m, and went one better in the U11 150m to finish 7th. Maise Ashurst Williams came sixth in the U13 LJ (3.73m) and third in the U13 Javelin with 17.42m.  There was a 2nd place in the U13 boys 1500m for Nathan (4.57) and there was a 1st place for Liane Bibby in the U20 javelin with a throw of 39.7m.
