Our membership year runs from 1st Jan to 31st December. The fees include for those athletes in school year 6 to senior all league fees and also the England Athletics competition licence fee. If you have any queries over membership please speak to our Membership Secretary Mandy Borthwick.

We have had a really successful year during 2012 with the membership base growing on a weekly basis; so much so that we have had to start a waiting list for the first time ever. The Coaches and Assistant Coaches give up their time and do a tremendous job coaching our athletes in preparation to compete for the Club at various events up and down the Country. Obviously there are safety issues and certain criteria that have to be adhered to which limits our intake of memberships.
We would therefore urge any parents who are interested in Athletics to come along and support the Club and their children in any way they can so that the Club can grow from strength to strength. If you are interested in joining the Coaching team please come along and speak to a Committee Member for details.
Due to the waiting list we now have in place we will need to be strict with regard to Club membership.
By becoming a member you are agreeing to be available and willing to compete for the Club. Failure to do so may result in your Membership being cancelled.
The following rules will apply from 2013:-
- Existing Members must renew their membership by the end of January 2013 or lose their place
- Any Member who does not attend training sessions for 4 consecutive weeks without advising their Coach of the reason for non-attendance will forfeit their membership with no refund of fees. A letter will be sent out to parents prior to the membership being cancelled.
- All Members must attend training sessions with a view to Competing for the Club at Meetings held during the year at various venues. Non-attendance at Meetings may result in their Membership being revoked.
Whilst it is not the Clubs’ policy to turn away any child who shows an interest in Athletics we have to abide by the safety guidelines set out by the UKA.
