2007 Primary League Match 2 Performances
The second Primary League match was affected by the inclement weather and was held indoors. This meant that the programme for the evening was somewhat shortened and no track races took place. We did, however, manage to get through the four field events scheduled for the evening.
It was a great success and this was down to the way that the children behaved throughout the evening in such a confined space! A great big thank you is extended to both them and the people who were looking after them because what could have been a chaotic evening went off very smoothly in the end - so well done! We hope to see you all again for the next match in July.
For the first time in the series of Primary League events, Wigan Harriers (the host club) did not manage to win the competition! So our congratulations go to Chorley who were the winners of Match 2 of the 2007 season. I think that this was the largest team that Chorley have fielded so far, and if these results are anything to go by both Wigan and Horwich will have their work cut out in July to knock them off top spot - well done Chorley on your excellent win!
